Malot sewage system will be improved with Rs 6 million.
Punjab (Aaj Samaj) News Update, Chandigarh: The Punjab government is committed to providing better civic facilities to the people of the state. In this context, the Punjab government is executing many development projects across the state. This is what Cabinet Minister Dr Baljeet Kaur said while addressing the gathering on the occasion of launching a sewerage project worth Rs 6 crore to improve the sewage system in Malout. He said this was a long-standing demand of Malout residents which the state government had met.
New technology will be used in new sewer
Dr. Baljeet Kaur said that the new pipeline has been designed with modern technologies, which will remain durable and resilient for a long time. Within the framework of this project, adequate monitoring and quality work will be guaranteed. This project will offer a new model for the development of not only Malout but the entire Punjab. He said that apart from sewerage services, the Punjab government is also laying emphasis on drinking water supply, road renovation and park development plans.

Previous governments did not pay attention to development
During this, the Cabinet Minister said that the previous governments of the state did not pay attention to the development of the state. Due to which the state fell several decades behind in terms of development. He said the present state government and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann have decided to make the state once again the leader of the country in terms of development. The state government is continuously making efforts for this.
