Taking into account the level of air pollution in the capital, the Supreme Court made the decision

Delhi Pollution Report (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: The level of air pollution in the country’s capital remains the same. Along with this, the crisis of people’s breathing is also deepening. Despite the efforts of the Delhi government, the pollution level is not decreasing and the AQI is still above 300, which is in a very bad condition. Meanwhile, last day, the Supreme Court, taking an important decision, said that Grape-4 restrictions in the capital Delhi will remain in force until December 2.

The future situation will be decided after seeing the situation after December 2nd. The Supreme Court said action against officials who were negligent in implementing Grape-4 should be expedited. The Supreme Court said Group 4 measures will continue until Monday (December 2) in all places except schools. Meanwhile, the court has asked the CAQM (Commission for Air Quality Management) to organize a meeting.

Along with pollution, the cold will also increase

The wind from the mountains has begun to take effect on the plains. Fog remained due to the change in wind direction. In such a situation, visibility at Safdarjung airport was recorded at 600 meters at 7.30 in the morning. Visibility was recorded at 800 meters at Palam at 9am. The meteorological department has predicted that there may be light fog and mist on Friday. In such a situation, the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 26 and 10 degrees Celsius respectively. On Thursday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 10.1 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature at 27 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality in many areas of Delhi continues to be in the ‘very poor’ category.

It is no longer stubble, but vehicles that increase pollution

On the other hand, now the inhabitants of the capital themselves are responsible for the increase in pollution in the capital. Environmental experts say that currently air pollution is not caused by stubble smoke, but by vehicle smoke. According to IITM’s Decision Sport System (DSS), the share of vehicular pollution in Delhi’s air was more than 22 per cent. Therefore, the level of contamination is not decreasing and the AQI is still higher than 300.
