Criminal killed in police encounter.
Police have come across a notorious gangster in Gurugram, adjacent to Delhi. Bihar gangster Saroj Rai was killed in an encounter in a joint operation between Gurugram police and Bihar police. A reward of Rs 2 lakh was announced for the slain criminal. More than 32 criminal cases were registered against him. According to the police, when the police arrived to arrest the gangster, he attacked the team.
Saroj was killed in a retaliatory shooting. A police officer was also injured in the incident. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, another criminal managed to escape from the scene. The Gurugram police had received information from the Bihar police that notorious Bihar criminal Saroj Rai, on whom the police have awarded a reward of Rs 2 lakh, is about to commit a major crime in Gurugram.
The criminal died in a crossfire
According to ACP Crime Varun Dahiya, the police had received information that gangster Saroj Rai would enter Gurugram from Mewat, following which the Gurugram police set up blockades at different places. The accused tried to escape from the police near Bar Gurjar Chowki in Gurugram, after which when the police tried to stop him, he opened fire on the police. ACP Crime said that the police opened crossfire, in which criminal Saroj Rai was killed. A Bihar Police jawan was also shot in this incident. He has been admitted to the hospital injured.
More than 32 criminal cases were registered
Another criminal was also with gangster Saroj Rai. He managed to escape from the scene, avoiding the police. Police investigation revealed that criminal Saroj Rai was a big gangster in Bihar and had been creating terror for a long time. There are more than 32 criminal cases registered against him. When the police tried to arrest this gangster, he fired dozens of shots one after another. The police are busy investigating whether, apart from Bihar, any crime has been committed in Gurugram or other areas of Haryana as well.
