What did the Australian Prime Minister say?
Apart from this, a call has also been made to the parents of the children to enforce this rule. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has strongly supported this new law, stating that social media has become the biggest platform for mental stress for children. Not only this, but it is also the easiest means for cyber fraudsters.
The Australian Prime Minister also blamed social networks for crimes against women. Since social media is prohibited for children, they will be able to focus on traditional sports and physical fitness. The government wants children to pay attention to indoor and outdoor sports.
Social media platforms have considered this law created for social media to be very strict. Furthermore, it has been said that it is a vague and hastily enacted law. However, it will take another 12 months for this law to be fully implemented.
