The officials cleared the traffic jam by convincing the women
Rewari News (Aaj Samaj) Rewari: The anger of the women, worried about water shortages since the last day, erupted on Friday. Worried about lack of water, the women blocked the Rewari-Bawal highway. During this, angry women raised slogans against the concerned department. The women said they receive water once every 15 days. Due to lack of water they face many problems. They are tired of ordering tankers for drinking water. A water tanker costs Rs 1,000.
They have already blocked the road.
Tina, Bimlesh and other women living in Rewari’s Chandpur ki Dhani said the problem of drinking water has persisted in their colony for a long time. They have gone to the authorities dozens of times with complaints, but no one listened to them. Even a month ago they had blocked the road. Then the department had supplied water, but now the same problem has arisen again.
The traffic jam was solved by ensuring early supply of water.
In the morning, dozens of city buses transport the company’s workers on this route that connects the Bawal industrial zone. In such a situation, people working in the company were also stranded due to traffic jam. After the information, the Model Town police station arrived at the scene and explained to the people. Authorities were called to the scene and assured that water supply would be provided soon. After this the jam was opened.
