(Gurugram News) Gurugram. Wherever in the city private individuals take money from people by collecting garbage door to door, strict action will be taken against such people and their vehicles will be confiscated. People are coming illegally from Delhi in vehicles to collect garbage in Gurugram. To take action in this regard, a four-member committee will be formed.
All concerned officials must check the attendance record of healthcare workers in their ward in the morning and afternoon.
In the review meeting with the nodal officers of the cleanliness drive in the city, Divisional Commissioner RC Bidhan directed that all officials appointed to monitor the cleanliness drive should verify the attendance record of sanitation workers in their ward by the morning and at night. Action can be taken as per rules against negligent employees.
In the review meeting, MLA Mukesh Sharma said that garbage illegally coming to Gurugram from Delhi is severely affecting the city’s cleanliness system. At midnight, vehicles coming from Delhi continuously dump garbage in Gurugram’s Bajgheda, Sector-21, Wazirabad and Carterpuri. On the complaint of the MLA, the Divisional Commissioner directed the corporation officials to take strict action against such shopkeepers in connection with garbage not being disposed of properly outside shops in the city.
If any merchant disobeys the rules, they must be reprimanded.
He said corporation officials should warn all traders and ensure that they keep garbage bins outside the shops. Even after this, if any merchant disobeys the rules, then he should be reprimanded. In the meeting, the MLA said that private institutions are continuously throwing garbage at the entrance of Chakarpur village. So the movement of people on that route is also being affected.
Taking cognizance of this issue, the Divisional Commissioner gave instructions to clean the concerned place and also to monitor it for the next week. In the review meeting, the Divisional Commissioner also directed that carts and dumpers should be parked round the clock at all GV points and sub points in the city. Expressing his dissatisfaction with the work style of the health inspectors, he also tasked them with improving the cleaning of all identified places before Sunday.
He said the clear definition of cleanliness is that not a single trace of garbage is visible in the area in question 24 hours a day, seven days a week. He said that if the officials appointed in the campaign plan with the objectives of the above definition, then with the cooperation of the common people we will soon be able to achieve the set objectives.
