India has taken a strict stance on attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. On Friday, the Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement saying that India has strongly raised the issue of atrocities against Hindus and other minorities with the Government of Bangladesh. The Ministry of External Affairs said that our position on Bangladesh is very clear. There, the interim government should fulfill its responsibility to protect all minorities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that current events cannot be considered mere exaggeration by the media. ISKCON is an international organization and is dedicated to social service. We hope that the legal process is fair in the case of people associated with ISKCON and that their rights are also respected. We once again call on Bangladesh to take all necessary measures to protect minorities. We are concerned about increasing incidents of extremist rhetoric, violence and incitement.

At the same time, regarding the arrest of ISKCON saint Chinmoy Krishna Das, the Ministry of External Affairs said that as far as cases against individuals are concerned, we have seen that legal processes are underway. We hope that these processes address the case in a fair, equitable and transparent manner, ensuring full respect for the legal rights of all interested parties.
