Chandigarh News|Panchkula: The Amateur Golfers Society (AGS), a non-governmental organization (NGO), is all set to organize the sixth edition of its prestigious amateur golf tournament. The Amateur Golfers Society Golf Tournament organized by AGS will be held at Panchkula Golf Club on Sunday, December 1, 2024. The tournament will begin at 7:30 am with an impressive turnout of 110 amateur golfers who are all set to compete with a mix of skill, sportsmanship and camaraderie. Many amateur golfers will also participate in this tournament.
Notably, this tournament is organized by Shri Suresh K., Founder Trustee of the Society of Amateur Golfers, Advocate (High Court). Gupta, who is dedicated to promoting this sport. Thanks to their efforts, they have had continued success in creating these types of platforms.
Suresh K. Gupta said, “AGS is committed to fostering the love of golf and providing a great platform for enthusiasts to come together and share their passion for golf. “Each tournament brings us closer as a community and at the same time encourages the growth of amateur golf not only in the northern region of India but throughout the country.”
Shri Anurag Rastogi (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary (Home and Finance), Government of Haryana, will attend the event as Chief Guest, making the event even more important. The chief guests of the tournament will be Shri Suresh Chandel, former MP from Himachal Pradesh and Shri Sanjeev Goyal (IAAS), Director of Audit (Defence Accounts), Chandigarh.
This tournament will be the sixth tournament organized by AGS after the success of the fifth edition held on September 29, 2024. The fifth edition featured former Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court, Justice Virendra Singh as the chief guest and famous actor Bollywood Shakti Kapoor as The Chief Guest had joined as.
The AGS Tournament continues its legacy as a premier event for amateur golfers. With carefully designed tournaments and distinguished guests, AGS continues to strive to improve the golf culture in India.
It is pertinent to mention that the winners of the tournament will receive the Amateur Golfers Society trophy. Winners in various handicap categories will receive special prizes. All participants will receive a gift package and participation scorecard.
