A shocking case has come to light in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. After committing robberies in different areas of the city, the ruthless thieves used to immerse precious jewelery worth thousands of rupees in the Narmada immersion pond. However, after much effort the police caught the thief. The police, while trying to solve the increasing cases of robbery, searched around 1,000 CCTV cameras installed in the city and found clues about the accused who committed these crimes.
In this case, the police nabbed a ruthless thief named Premnath Mallah, who lived in Patel Nagar under Madhotal police station area. Based on Mallah’s statements, the police detained his minor son and another person and questioned them strictly. The accused confessed to having committed robberies in different areas of the city.
It is used to throw jewelery into the Bhatoli dipping pond.
Police said that regarding the jewelery worth thousands of rupees stolen in the robbery incidents, the accused said that after committing the robbery incidents, they used to throw the gold jewelery into the Bhatoli immersion pond of Gauri Ghat area. . Fearing that the jewelry was artificial or to escape the police, the accused often threw the stolen items into dipping ponds. Based on the statements of the arrested thieves, the police today contacted Bhatauli Kund of Narmada with the accused and carried out a search operation in the pond along with the SDERF team. After several hours of effort, the team recovered jewelery worth thousands of rupees. To search for the precious gold jewellery, the police and the SDERF team carried out a rescue operation similar to the one carried out in case someone drowns in water.
The police continually interrogate
The police continuously interrogate the detained accused. Police are confident that other incidents of theft will also come to light through the accused. Police surmise that there may be more gold ornaments hidden in the Bhatauli soaking pond. The police and SDERF team are also planning to carry out a similar rescue operation in the future. During the search, the police and the SDERF team found gold necklaces, bracelets, earrings and other jewelery whose value is said to be in lakhs. Bhatauli immersion pond in Gauri Ghat area of Jabalpur was built for immersion of Durga idols during Navratri festival and Ganesh idols on the occasion of Ganesh Utsav, but the thieves of Jabalpur used this pond as a means of hiding stolen goods.
