Accused in Umesh Pal murder case

Prayagraj: Prayagraj police have taken major action against the accused in the Umesh Pal murder case and imposed Gangster Act on the 15 accused. A case under the Gangster Act has been registered against Atiq Ahmed’s two sons and all the accused involved in the murder of Umesh Pal and two government gunners, including the shooters, at Dhooman Ganj police station. In the gang chart drawn up by the police, Ali has been declared the leader of the gang. Now the police will also seize properties acquired following their crimes against the accused under section 14/1 of the Gangster Law.

On February 24, 2023, lawyer Umesh Pal and his two government gunners were openly killed with bombs and bullets. In this incident, Asad, mafia son Atiq Ahmed, and Atiq’s gunmen Ghulam, Armaan Sabir Usman and Guddu Muslim openly attacked Umesh Pal with bombs and bullets on the Jayanti Pur road of Dhuman Ganj. Due to this, Umesh Pal and two government gunners were killed. Following the arrival of CCTV footage of this incident, panic broke out across the country. Following this, the STF killed Atiq’s sons Asad and Ghulam in an encounter in Jhansi, while the police killed Usman Chaudhary and Atiq’s driver Arbaaz in an encounter at two different places in Prayagraj.

However, Guddu Muslim, Armaan and Sabir are absconding since the incident. In addition to the districts, the police have also searched a dozen areas to capture him, but without success. Now the police are taking action against all the accused and have registered a case of gangsterism against all the accused.

According to information, Mafia Atiq had planned a lot to get Umesh Pal out of the way. In addition to the henchmen, including Atiq’s sons, the servants of the house also played an important role in this. Besides Atiq’s son Omar lodged in Lucknow Jail, Atiq’s younger son Ali, Atiq’s brother-in-law Ekhlaq, servant Cash Ahmed, Rakesh alias Nakesh Lala, Sharukh Ahmed lodged in Naini Central Jail , Atiq’s lawyer Saulat Hanif, lodged in Naini. Apart from Vijay Mishra, Sadaqat Khan and Niaz Ahmed, a gangster case has been registered against the perpetrators of the crime, Guddu Muslim, Armaan Akhtar and Mohammad Sabir.

DCP City Abhishek Bharti said that apart from the shooters involved in the incident, Atiq’s lawyers and close servants were also involved in this incident in every way. That’s why gangsterism has been imposed on everyone. After the investigation of this case, action will also be taken against all the accused under 14/1 in which the properties of these people acquired through crime will also be confiscated.

The Atiq mafia gang had made headlines across the country by committing the Umesh Pal murder case, but the measures taken by the Yogi government against these mafias and their henchmen have also become an example. More than 70 henchmen of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were sent to jail and properties worth around Rs 2,000 million were confiscated from Atiq Ashraf and his associates. The back of Atiq’s IS 227 band was completely broken.
