Akhilesh is hopeful and two reasons… What are the chances of Nitish Kumar coming back?

Will Nitish be able to spin again?

Can Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar make a comeback again? This issue is once again in the headlines following a statement by Akhilesh Yadav, chief of the SP, the third largest party in the Lok Sabha. Akhilesh has said that Nitish played an important role in forming the alliance with India. I hope Nitish comes back to us.

This statement by the SP chief comes at a time when there is news of Nitish Kumar’s discontent with BJP leaders in Bihar politics.

Akhilesh hopes Nitish takes a 180 degree turn

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav praised Nitish Kumar and said I came to the Indian Alliance at his request. At first everything was going well, but Nitish Kumar went with him.

Akhilesh further said that I hope to join us again soon. However, this is not the first time Akhilesh has made similar comments about Nitish.

Earlier this month, on the occasion of JP Jayanti, Akhilesh had asked Nitish to return to India. Akhilesh had said that this is an opportunity for Nitish Kumar to teach a lesson to the BJP.

Today, Nitish Kumar’s party is a strong ally in the central government. Nitish’s party currently has 12 MPs and is the third largest party in the BJP minority government.

There is talk of Nitish reversal due to 2 reasons too

Apart from Akhilesh Yadav’s expectations, there are currently two political situations in Bihar, so there are rumors that Nitish will return.

1. Nitish Kumar is currently the leader of Bihar NDA, but many BJP leaders are working on a different template. Recently, Giriraj Singh had participated in Hindu Swabhiman Yatra. During this visit, Araria MP Pradeep Singh made highly controversial statements. Interestingly, the BJP did not take any action against both the leaders. That too, when the BJP itself had given a statement saying it had nothing to do with the yatra.

Nitish Kumar is known for doing secular politics in Bihar. In such a situation, the way BJP leaders are preparing their ground through Hindutva politics, the Bihar Chief Minister is said to be uncomfortable.

2. Nitish Kumar joined the BJP in 2017. The BJP and the JDU did well in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, but in the 2020 Assembly elections, the BJP’s votes were not transferred to the JDU. In 2022, Nitish accused the BJP of playing games. According to the claim of former JDU president Lalan Singh, the party reached the third position thanks to the then BJP leader Bhupendra Yadav and RCP Singh.

Due to non-transfer of votes to the BJP, the JDU was in the worst condition. Nitish’s match remained the third. In the 2024 elections, the JDU candidate had gained the lead in Purnia seat of Rupauli, but after a month of assembly elections being held from here, the JDU candidate fell to the second position.

Nitish has made five U-turns in 10 years

In 2013, Nitish Kumar returned for the first time. Nitish broke away from the BJP at that time. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Nitish contested alone, but his party was limited to 2 seats. Before the 2015 assembly elections, Nitish met with RJD and Congress.

This time Nitish’s match won. Nitish became Chief Minister, but after 2 years Nitish changed positions. RJD supremo Lalu Yadav had investigated this U-turn by Nitish. Lalu had given him the title of Paltumar.

In this 180-degree turn, Nitish opted for the BJP. Nitish contested the 2019 and 2020 elections with the BJP.

In June 2022, Nitish returned and joined the Grand Alliance. However, Nitish could only last 2 years with the Grand Alliance. Now Nitish keeps repeating that he is not going anywhere.
