Ambala Ex Police Officers Welfare Association monthly meeting concluded

Ambala News: Ambalá. The monthly meeting of Ambala Former Police and Welfare Officers Association was convened under the chairmanship of Ashwini Kumar Pradhan at Police Line office, Ambala.

Addressing the members, Chief Ashwani Kumar said that disability allowance is given to police employees while working according to the capacity of the employees, which should also be given to pensioners.

Apart from this, the Haryana government provides a 20 per cent lump sum increase in pension to pensioners on reaching 80 years of age, which is no longer practical due to the relatively short duration of human life.

This increase should be allowed at the rate of 5 per cent up to the age of 65, 70, 75 and 80 years respectively, as in the states of Punjab and Himachal. Apart from this, dependents of pensioners should also get LTC service.

The members present also demanded that due to rising medical expenses at present, the medical allowance for pensioners should be increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000.

All members expressed happiness on the formation of the new Haryana government and also wished each other a happy Diwali.

On this occasion, Vijendra Kumar retired DSP, Ashwani Kumar, Gulzar Singh, Lakshmi Chand, Gopal Krishna, Rajpal Singh Joint Secretary Madan Singh Rana, Ashok Kumar, Baldev Singh, Deshraj, Ashok Kumar, Baldev Krishna, Iqbal Singh, Ram Juwari, Gursharan Singh, Tarsem Lal, etc. 35 members participated.
