What is the new song ‘Ami Je Tomar 3.0’ from ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ like?
Kartik Aryan, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan’s song, Trupti Dimri’s upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 that everyone has been waiting for is finally here. The name of the song is ‘Ami Je Tomar’… the same ‘Ami Je Tomar’ that Priyadarshan’s Manjulika scared us all to while we were dancing. When the trailer of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 came out, there was a small clip in which Vidya Balan and dancing queen Madhuri could be seen dancing. That was just one scene after which the wait for this song had increased even more. Now this song is finally here so let us know if Ami J Tomar from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has been able to compete with that OG song or not.
Before we know what the new song is like, tell us what the old song was like. In Bhool Bhulaiya, actress Vidya Balan played the character of Avni, who struggled with dissociative identity disorder or, in common parlance, split personality disorder. In this song from the film, Avni is dominated by her other identity i.e. Manjulika and starts dancing like her.
This song of Vidya was no ordinary dance.
This was not a common dance because Vidya’s character had to portray a person suffering from a mental disorder and she also had to dance, so this song was shot in two timelines. This song is shown to us in two ways in the film. The first one which is visible to the characters of Akshay and others in which Avni is dancing in an empty ruin and the second one which happens in Avni’s mind, in which an entire meeting has taken place and the bad king i.e. Shiney Ahuja’s character. He is sitting on his throne. The way Vidya did the classical dance in this song was itself the highlight of this song. This OG song was made even more special by the vocals of singer Shreya Ghoshal Upadhyay and MG Srikumar.
What is the new version of the song like?
Now we come to our question: is this song like that or not? The answer is not at all. The sense in which this song appears in the previous film is similar to the story. However, it is not known exactly in what scenario this song will appear in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. But the truth is that there is no kind of jugalbandhi here but a kind of competition between the characters of Madhuri and Vidya. There is bitterness between them regarding some issue which also arises through an expression of Vidya. This time also Shreya has given voice to the song. In the song, Vidya is a Bharatanatyam dancer and Madhuri is seen doing Kathak.
