Ambala News: Ambala. Vedic Sanskar Pakhwada was organized from 12 to 31 October 2024 at Muralidhar DAV Public Higher Secondary School, Ambala City under the leadership of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upasabha Haryana. The objective of this fortnight was to introduce the students to Vedic rituals and highlight the importance of these rituals in their lives. In a special lecture organized on October 16, eminent Haryana scholar Shri Naveen Acharya ji expressed his views on the “Vedic 16 Sanskar”. Acharya ji shed light on the scientific and spiritual importance of rituals from conception to marriage. His speech managed to raise awareness among students and teachers. During the fortnight, an impressive speech competition was organized on October 18, in which students presented profound reflections on topics such as return to the Vedas, seva dharma, contribution of Maharishi Dayanand and bravery.
Bhav Verma of Class 8, Anya Tiwari of Class 9 and Kriti Saini of Class 5 impressed the audience with their powerful speeches. Raj Channa and Madhuri Sharma had a special contribution in guiding this competition. A poetry recitation competition was organized on October 19 in which Srijan Wah Veer Jeet of class 7 and Tanya Wah Akshara of class 9 enthralled the prayer meeting with their beautiful poetry. On October 21, once again Acharya Naveen Arya Ji organized a special session for the students of Agra in which the importance of celibacy and the importance of tapasya in student life was discussed. The 5th grade students showed their special interest in this topic. October 22: A street play was organized in Palika Vihar, in which the students effectively presented the ideals of cleanliness and Maharishi Dayanand on Diwali. The play was directed by Madhuri Sharma and Tanya and Srijan’s performances in the play were particularly appreciated. On this occasion, Tanya presented a poem based on patriotism, which won the hearts of the audience. On October 23, Ambala Tourism Engineer Yogi Dinesh Chandra invited the students for a motivational lecture in which he discussed the issue of changing the mindset of the students and inspired them to learn a lot from the character of Shri Ram.
On October 24, the 11th Kundiya Havan Yagya was organized in memory of Mahatma Anand Swami. Yagya Brahma Pandit Manoj Shastri enlivened the atmosphere of the school by chanting Vedic mantras. He shed light on the life of Mahatma Anand Swami and mentioned his strong leadership against the Moplah Hindu genocide. On this occasion, the bhajans were presented by Dinesh ji and Ms. Gauri Vandana of the music department. Naming these 10 days from October 15 to 24 as Anand Utsav under the Vedic Sanskar Pakhwada, the school principal Dr. Radharaman Suri appreciated all the programs organized so far under the Vedic Sanskar Pakhwada and said that such events constitute a important contribution in connecting students with their cultural heritage and in their moral development. He also informed that a bhajan singing evening will be organized on October 25 on the occasion of Swami Dayanand Nirvana Day in which special bhajan sermons will be invited, and along with this a blood donation camp will be organized on October 26 at Yogi’s birthday.
