Attention NEET people! MCC changed rules for lost vacancy round; If you don’t attend, you will lose.

Important information is coming out for students preparing for NEET. MCC i.e. Medical Counseling Committee has changed the eligibility rules for Stray Vacancy round of NEET UG counselling. Additionally, MCC has added one position following the court order. The commission has included 1 post of Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences Cudapakkam Post, Villianur of Puducherry in the round of lost vacancies.

Also, the commission issued an important notice to all state counseling authorities and asked them to share the details of students entering all rounds before 5 pm on October 25, so that the student entering the seat in any state does not get the All. India quota round vacancy can be removed from the first list in the seat allocation process.

Eligibility Rules for NEET UG Counseling Missed Seat Round

  • Students who do not have any place in the All India Quota or State Quota are eligible to appear in the MCC NEET UG Missed Seat Round.
  • Candidates who have joined the state quota seats in the previous phases are not eligible to participate in this phase.
  • Those candidates who did not occupy the seats allocated by MSC in the third round are not eligible to participate in this round. However, those students who did not appear in the third round of MCC can appear in the UG state counseling.
  • The data of the candidates included in the third round conducted by the Commission will be shared with the State Counseling Authority and such candidates will be excluded from participating in the State Quota Counseling.
  • Candidates can contact the officials of the State Counseling Authority for any information related to counseling for state quota seats.
  • If any student does not join the allotted seats in the lost vacancy round, in such case his security money will be confiscated and he will also be barred from appearing in the NEET exam for the next year i.e. 2025.

When will the seat allocation result be released?

Please note that the last date of registration for NEET UG Stray Vacancy Counseling 2024 round is 25 October 2024. While the last date to complete and lock options is 26 October, while the allotment result of seats will be published on October 29. Apart from this, students will have time from October 30 to November 5 to apply and join their assigned university.
