Lucknow: The buzz around the by-elections for nine UP Assembly seats has intensified. This SP has demanded the transfer of three officers in Moradabad. The Samajwadi Party has also submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission in this regard. The SP has demanded transfer of three functionaries, saying that the party has demanded transfer of three functionaries to conduct the by-election at the Kundarki district assembly headquarters freely, fairly and without any fear. SP said in a statement that the three accused officers include divisional commissioner Anjaneya Kumar Singh, Kundarki police station in-charge Pradeep Kumar Sehrawat and district supply officer Ajay Pratap Singh.

Samajwadi Party chief spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary said, “Samajwadi Party Uttar Pradesh unit chief Shyam Lal Pal submitted a memorandum to the state chief electoral officer. He demanded immediate transfer of Anjaneya Kumar Singh, Ajay Pratap Singh and Pradeep Kumar Sehrawat, they have demanded it.” that the by-elections in Kundarki may be free, fair and without any fear.” According to the memorandum, Sikkim cadre officer Anjaneya Kumar Singh has been on deputation in Uttar Pradesh for more than 9 years and 8 months, of which his tenure in Moradabad division is more than 5 years and 8 months. The party claimed that the divisional commissioner was also accused in the last elections of influencing the elections, after which his transfer was demanded. if Anjaneya Singh continues in office, the by-elections in Kundarki will not be held freely.

Apart from this, in the memorandum, the Samajwadi Party accused Pradeep Sehrawat of calling Nagar Panchayat members, village heads and public representatives to the Kundarki police station and threatening to implicate them in a false case if they did not vote in favor of the BJP. The SP also accused the police officer of asking anti-BJP people to leave the assembly constituency two days before the poll. The memo further mentions the third officer and says supply officer Ajay Pratap Singh is accused of intimidating ration dealers, including 20,000 truck owners, into campaigning and voting for the BJP. The memorandum was also signed by SP leaders KK Srivastava, Harishchandra Singh and Radheshyam Singh. (entrance-agency)
