Ayodhya. Saint Hanuman Garhi and BJP leader Mahant Manmohan Das passed away on Tuesday. He was sick for a long time. He was undergoing treatment at the PGI. He breathed his last on Tuesday at his ashram next to Birla Dharamshala. His last rites were performed at the Ayodhya cremation ground. As soon as the news of his demise was received, there was a wave of mourning among Hanuman Garhi saints and BJP leaders. From the ashram to the ghat, people gathered in large numbers to pay their last respects. He was district president of the party in 2000 and later a member of the State Labor Committee.

MLA Ramchander Yadav said his contribution in propagating the party’s ideology will always be remembered. MLA Ved Prakash Gupta will always remember his role in the Janmabhoomi movement. Former Rishikesh Upadhyaya Mahant Manmohan Das was ideologically very strong and a proponent of nationalist ideology.
