This time there is an interesting contest in the Uttar Pradesh Majhwan Assembly by-elections. Suchismita Maurya of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Jyoti Bind of the Samajwadi Party are face to face. Earlier, Suchismita Maurya had defeated Jyoti Bind's father Dr Ramesh Chand Bind, who had been an MLA for three consecutive terms. This time, Dr. Ramesh Chand Bind's daughter is in the electoral field to avenge her father's defeat. His contest is with Suchismita Maurya of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Dr Ramesh Chand Bind first won elections in 2002 from the Majhwan Assembly seat on the BSP ticket. After this, he won the assembly elections in 2007 on the BSP ticket. He won the 2012 assembly elections from the BSP for the third consecutive time.

Dr. Ramesh Chand Bind's victory bandwagon was stopped by Suchismita Maurya, who contested on the Bharatiya Janata Party ticket in the 2017 assembly elections. Suchismita Maurya polled 1 lakh 7 thousand 839 votes in these elections. BSP's Dr Ramesh Chand Bind, who came second, got 66,680 votes. Suchismita Maurya won these elections by 41,159 votes.
Once again, the 2017 assembly elections are looming in the Majhwan Assembly. In this contest, the daughter is at the forefront to take revenge instead of the father. When Aaj Tak questioned Suchismita Maurya about this, she said that it was us who had defeated the three-time MLA. I don't care who is in front of me. Only the Bharatiya Janata Party will win. I will receive the blessings of the public again.
Samajwadi Party candidate Jyoti Bind says that we participated in the elections over the issue of development of the area. For now, it remains to be seen whether Jyoti Bind will be able to avenge her father's defeat by defeating Suchismita Maurya or whether Suchismita Maurya will win again and maintain her record.
