Mythological story of Narak Chaturdashi.
There was a demon named Narakasura who had captured 16 thousand women with the power of his power. Concerned by the terror and atrocities of Narakasura, the gods and sages asked Lord Krishna for help. Then Lord Shri Krishna killed Narakasura and freed the gods and saints from his tyranny. After killing Narakasura, Shri Krishna freed those 16 thousand women from the captivity of Narakasura. In the midst of this joy, people lit lamps and celebrated the end of Narakasura. For this reason, since then Chhoti Diwali came to be known as Narak Chaturdashi.
