People were still worried due to the traffic jam in Delhi on Sunday.

New Delhi: On one hand, before Diwali and Chhath, crowd is seen at the Delhi railway station due to the large number of train passengers, on the other hand, before the festival, there is a rush of people in the markets. Apart from these two reasons, long queues of vehicles were seen in many areas of Delhi on Sunday. Sunday was a special day for the people of the national capital as Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh had two back-to-back shows. Due to this, vehicle movement was severely affected in some parts of South Delhi.

Traffic was affected near Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, where Dosanjh was performing his second concert in two days as part of his “Dil-Luminati India Tour 2024.” Thousands of people had gathered to see the singer and actor. The crowd was so big that it was difficult to manage.

Police forces were deployed to the scene of the event

The Delhi Police had deployed adequate number of security forces around the place to maintain law and order. As per the traffic advisory issued by the police, movement of heavy vehicles from Stadium Signal to BP Marg is restricted from 4pm to 11pm. Commuters have been advised to avoid passing through BP Marg, Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg and areas around the stadium during this period.

Long queues of vehicles formed on these roads.

Long queues of vehicles were also seen on Mathura Road. There was more traffic than usual on Mathura Road, so vehicles were moving at low speed. A similar situation occurred in Rohini area of northwest Delhi. There was heavy traffic on the stretch between Madhuban Chowk and Rohini East metro station, which is quite common during the festival season. Heavy traffic was also observed on the highway from Najafgarh to Nangloi and Rohtak.
