Deepotsav Ayodhya Ram Mandir – Emphasis on Swadeshi on Ayodhya Diwali, Ram Mandir Trust stays away from Chinese products – Ayodhya Ram Temple will not use Chinese Diwali decorative items, says Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust ntc

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has decided not to use Chinese chandeliers, lights and other items for decoration of the Ram temple during Diwali to promote Swadeshi. Ayodhya is also all set for a grand festival of lights this year. This will be the eighth edition of organizing Depotsav in Ramnagari. This is the first Deepotsav after the consecration ceremony of Ram Lala at the Ram temple.

The Ram temple complex is being decorated with lamps, flowers, lights and other items. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust said in a statement that it has been decided to promote local crafts in decorating the Ram temple on the occasion of Diwali. In sync with the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative, steps have been taken towards self-reliance (Atmanirbhar Bharat). About 10,000 police officers will be deployed for security measures under the Depotsav programme. About half of them will be dressed in civilian clothes.

When asked about the decision not to use Chinese decorative elements in the Ram temple, Ayodhya commissioner Gaurav Dayal said, ‘Basically, we want to use only those elements that are indigenous and local. Ram Mandir Trust’s idea behind this is to promote local artisans, local artists and local materials, which are more eco-friendly.

When asked if there is any appeal or instruction from the administration to the people not to use Chinese content, he said it is up to the people. We cannot force anyone. A day before Diwali (October 30) Depotsav will be organized in Ayodhya. The government aims to recreate the Guinness World Record this year by lighting the largest number of lamps simultaneously. Ram Leela and other cultural performances will also be organized.
