Cyclonic storm ‘Dana’ is showing its impact on the coastal states of the country. Strong winds and heavy rain are blowing in many states. People are forced to hide in their homes. In such a situation, a Hindi belt state has also issued an order to keep all schools in the state closed today. The orders were issued late in the afternoon of October 24. In the order, the government asked to keep schools closed in some districts.
Schools closed from KG to 12
The cyclonic storm is showing its impact in the state of Jharkhand. In such a situation, the Soren state government has closed schools in many areas. The order said that classes from KG to 12 in all government, unaided and private schools functioning in West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan district under Bab Kolhan Division, Bhaigama will remain closed on October 25. Likewise, the Department of Meteorology has issued an alert for many areas of the state.
Please note that due to the storm, all schools and colleges in Odisha and West Bengal have already been closed for 3 days.
Rain alert issued
According to the Meteorological Department, today, i.e. October 25, there is a possibility of very heavy rains in the southeastern parts of the state. At the same time, heavy rain was warned in the southwestern and central areas. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the impact of Dana, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in many areas of Jharkhand from Thursday night, the IMD has issued an ‘orange’ alert for Friday in the Kolhan region. (West Singhbhum, Seraikela- Kharsawan and East Singhbhum Districts). An alert has been issued.
Storm hits Odisha today
The movement of Cyclone ‘Dana’ between Bhitarkanika National Park and Dhamra port in Odisha will continue from 00:45 to 05:30 and 06:00. This process is still continuing. The wind speed gradually increases. It can travel 120 kilometers per hour.
