India Television Election Forum: Voting will be held on a total of 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra on November 20 and counting of votes will take place on November 23. Amid the ongoing political turmoil in the state, India TV has come up with the biggest spectacle of the elections – the Election Forum. Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar is answering questions on this platform. He described his management as president of the Assembly as good.
Rahul Narvekar said that as Assembly Speaker, every decision of mine has been in accordance with the Constitution. He said that I was not made president by the BJP, Shiv Sena, but by the Maharashtra Assembly. I represent the 288 MLAs of the Assembly.
On the issue of being appointed Speaker, he said that why I was appointed Speaker, this can only be done by members of the Assembly. I must have had some skill for which I was selected. From my mandate in the last two years, it can be said that my mandate has been good. There has been progress in the work of the Assembly during my mandate.
