Jamia Millia Islamia Islamia University says the clash that took place on Tuesday night was planned in advance. The university administration says that this appears to be a completely sponsored incident and the involvement of outside elements who are trying to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the university.

Slogans were raised during Diwali celebrations in Jamia on Tuesday. Due to this, a confrontation occurred between two groups of students. After this, students were not allowed to celebrate Diwali the next day.

What did the university administration say?

In this matter, the university administration has lodged a formal complaint against unknown persons at the Jamia Nagar police station. Furthermore, the university is trying to identify the accused through CCTV footage and internal sources and take appropriate action against them. It is noteworthy that Jamia Millia Islamia is an important center of Ganga-Jamuni culture of the country and every year people of all religions joyfully celebrate the festival here.
