Incorrect information about Prime Minister Modi's visit to Russia is being shared on social media platform X. As Prime Minister Modi had gone to participate in the BRICS conference held in the Russian city of Kazan from October 22 to 23 of this month. A video of this incident has been uploaded to the social media platform X. An account called Raza graphy (Parody) on X has uploaded a video of a group photo of world leaders attending the BRICS summit. Along with this, he wrote a legend stating that PM Modi was not invited for a group photo.

India TV's fact-checking team has verified the authenticity of this video. The Fact Check team discovered that the viral video comes from the BRICS summit. It was filmed on October 24. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had left for India a day earlier. A reverse search of the viral video's keyframes found a post made on October 24 on the official X account of news agency ANI. In this ANI post it was written: “Russia: External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar with heads of delegations at the 16th BRICS Summit in BRICS Plus format at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre.
