What happened at the CPM meeting…?

Now the question arises what happened to make Kalyan Banerjee so angry and break the bottle. In fact, sources say that when the ruckus broke out at the Waqf Board JPC meeting, a presentation on Odisha was going on. Many prominent personalities, including retired judges and lawyers of the Supreme Court, were present at the meeting. JPC formed to object to Waqf Amendment Bill

Let us tell you that the country’s politics are heated over the Waqf Amendment Bill. On August 8, the Modi government introduced two bills in the Lok Sabha, the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 and the Muslim Waqf (Abolition) Bill, 2024. According to the government, the objective of these bills is to improve the functioning of the Waqf Board and ensure efficient management of Waqf properties. The opposition expressed strong objections to some provisions. It was later sent to the Joint Committee of Parliament for further investigation.
