Islamabad: The Taliban have once again issued a strange order for Afghan women. Now Afghan women will not be able to speak loudly, they will not even be able to offer namaz loudly. Women have been prohibited from offering Namaz loudly. An Afghan minister has said that Afghan women have been prohibited from offering namaz or reading the Quran aloud in front of other women.
The minister said these are new restrictions imposed on women under moral laws. All women will have to follow this. Under these laws, women are prohibited from speaking loudly and showing their faces outside the home. Apart from this, girls are deprived of education after the sixth grade and women are already excluded from many public places and most jobs. No official from the country’s religious ministry confirmed Wednesday whether the restrictions would become part of the moral laws.
It is forbidden to say Allah hu Akbar out loud.
“It is prohibited for a woman to recite verses from the Koran in front of another adult woman,” Religion Minister Khaled Hanafi said during an event in the eastern province of Logar. “Even shouting Takbir (Allahu Akbar) is not allowed.” He said that a woman is not even allowed to give Azaan. Audio of Hanafi’s comments was shared on the ministry’s social media platform but was later deleted. (Language)
