France will help war-hit Lebanon.

Paris: France has offered to help Lebanon as it faces the tragedy of war. President Emmanuel Macron announced significant aid to Lebanon on Thursday. He told an international conference here that his country would provide a 100 million euro ($108 million) aid package to help Lebanon. Macron said there was an urgent need for comprehensive assistance for the people of Lebanon, including both the thousands of people displaced by the war and the communities that host them.

Following this, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and then his successor Hashim Saffieddin were also killed in an Israeli army airstrike. The United Nations had asked Lebanon for help

The United Nations has declared the need for $426 million in aid for Lebanon. However, before France, India had already sent 33 tonnes of relief material to Lebanon. Italy had announced this week a new aid of 10 million euros to Lebanon. Later on Wednesday, Germany pledged to provide 60 million euros in aid to help the people of Lebanon. Macron condemned Israel for continuing military operations in Lebanon. France also wants to help restore Lebanon’s sovereignty and strengthen its institutions.

France is strict against Israel

Due to the continued attacks in Lebanon, France has taken a very tough stance against Israel. In recent weeks, Macron has been seen hardening his stance against Israel. Call for a ceasefire in both Lebanon and Gaza. He reiterated his stance in a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday.
