According to a CNN report, relatives of the innocent dead said that the humanitarian crisis caused by the Israeli attacks has created a severe hunger situation in the Gaza Strip. The family was having breakfast when the pallets fell from the plane. The boy’s grandfather said that many family members tried to hide inside his store, but the falling package took the boy’s life.
“I was sitting with that boy and as soon as I put him down, the package fell on him. There was only a second difference between him and me. I picked him up and started running. There was no hospital near us… No. I ran like crazy, but I couldn’t save him, blood started coming out of his nose and mouth.
Ayyad, the boy’s grandfather, said: “We don’t want help, we want respect. The insults and insults we are receiving from the Arabs. Those who don’t pity us, look at our children, at our women, at our elders.”
‘Life in humiliation and terror…’
The boy’s uncle said: “We are human beings, not animals dropping food from the sky. Our children are dying because of the beans (sent as aid), not because of the Palestine issue. We don’t need this kind of help “I’m saying I don’t want this, stop it, we want respect.”
Showing the items that came with the aid sent from the United Arab Emirates, the boy’s uncle said: “Take your help, we don’t want this. These are the same things that killed my son. We exist. According to the Israeli agency that controls the flow of aid to Gaza, the United Arab Emirates dropped 81 food packages in Khan Yunis on Saturday.
More than 22 lakh population at risk
Israel’s continued restrictions on aid entering the Gaza Strip have reduced vital supplies, putting the entire population of more than 2.2 million people at risk of famine, according to a UN report. According to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification report, which assesses food insecurity and malnutrition globally, more than 1.8 million Palestinians face high levels of acute food insecurity.
