Hindu side dealt a blow in Gyanvapi controversy

The Hindu side has suffered a major setback in the Gyanvapi dispute case. A fast-track court hearing was underway on ASI’s study of the remaining facilities in Gyanvapi. In this regard, while delivering the verdict on Friday, the Varanasi District Court rejected the request of the Hindu side. The Hindu side will appeal against this decision before the High Court. The Hindu side submitted a petition to carry out excavations under the Central Dome along with the ASI’s study of the remaining parts of the Gyanvapi complex.

On October 19, the Muslim side presented its position.

The Muslim side opposed the Hindu side’s request for archaeological survey in the remaining parts of the Gyanvapi complex. During this, the Muslim side had argued that the first investigative work had been done. In such a situation, there is no justification to conduct the survey again. He claimed that digging could cause damage to the mosque. Therefore, the Muslim side submitted its case to the court on October 19 regarding the survey.

The court had reserved the decision

Citing the Allahabad High Court, the Muslim side had requested the Varanasi District Court to hear the case soon. However, after hearing the arguments of both sides in this case, the court reserved its decision. When the verdict was pronounced today, the request of the Hindu side was rejected.
