Ranchi. Amid elections to be held in 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand, former Chief Minister Champai Soren on Monday said that it has become necessary to save the tribals from the conspiracy of Bangladeshi infiltrators. He said if the BJP comes to power, the lands supposedly appropriated by the tribals will be returned to them. Let us tell you that Soren, who left JMM and joined the BJP in August, will contest the elections from the Seraikela assembly seat.
The former CM said that great men like Sido-Kanho, Chand-Vairabh, Phulo-Jhano and Baba Tilka Manjhi fought against the British to protect our land and were martyred. Now the infiltrators are taking over that land. Soren claimed that due to infiltration of Bangladeshis, tribes have become extinct in many villages and the dignity of tribal women is in danger. Along with this, he alleged that the infiltrators have also captured the religious places of the tribals. He said if the BJP comes to power in the elections, a meeting of heads of traditional community organizations will be convened and the illegally appropriated tribal lands will be returned to their rightful owners. Let us tell you that the BJP’s main problems in the Jharkhand elections are the alleged infiltration of Bangladeshis, their marriage with local tribal women and encroachment on tribal lands.
