Maharastra
There will be a government holiday in Maharashtra on Diwali on November 1 and 2. According to media reports, there are 7 to 10 days of vacation for children in schools around Diwali, but no vacation on Dhanteras.
Delhi
Talking about the national capital Delhi, there is little hope of school holidays on Dhanteras. The reason for this is the Diwali holidays declared in Delhi, here holidays were declared from October 30 to November 3.
Chattisgarh

Uttar Pradesh
In UP, the Yogi government has officially declared Diwali on October 31, Govardhan Puja on November 2 and Bhai Dooj on November 3 as a holiday. While in the board and recognized schools of Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board, Diwali holiday will be from October 31 to November 3, i.e. Dhanteras holiday has not been granted in schools.
Madhya Pradesh
In Madhya Pradesh, short Diwali holidays i.e. Diwali have been granted starting October 30 which will continue till November 3 i.e. Govardhan Puja. At the same time, there are no holidays here on Dhanteras.
