In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, police busted a betting ring run from Dubai under the guise of online gaming. The police have arrested four people in this case. A police official said Thursday that this action was taken confidentially.
Giving information in this matter, Indore Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Rajesh Dandotia said that on the basis of secret information, a house in Palsikar Colony was raided. Where a gambling gang operated in the name of online gaming.
ADCP Rajesh Dandotia told PTI that this gang was being operated from Dubai. Four people who worked as local agents of this gang have been raided and arrested in that house. Preliminary investigation revealed that the gang operated from Dubai through a website and had agents in several cities in India.
The additional deputy commissioner of police said the four arrested accused are being interrogated. During this, the accused revealed that the chances of people winning in gambling under the guise of online gaming are very less, while the gang operators and agents make a lot of money.
ADCP said one laptop, two computers, seven mobile phones, other equipment and betting details were recovered from the possession of the accused. He said a detailed investigation into the betting business is underway.
