Former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, October 29, on the occasion of the birth anniversary (Dhanteras) of Dhanvantari, the god of health and Ayurveda, inaugurated a Rs 5 lakh free treatment center for people aged 70 years and above. Under this Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) of the government, 6 crore senior citizens of the country will benefit. Now politics has started on this issue. In fact, Prime Minister Modi had targeted Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party and West Bengal’s Mamata government for not implementing the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme. Regarding what now former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party coordinator Arvind Kejriwal has attacked the Prime Minister.
Kejriwal shared a post on social media in which he accused the Prime Minister of lying. In his message he stated that it is not right for the Prime Minister to speak badly about the issue of people’s health. It is not right to make politics about this. Kejriwal said that under the Delhi government’s plan, everyone living in Delhi gets complete treatment free of charge, no matter how much it costs. Be it a pill worth Rs 5 or a treatment worth Rs 1 million, the Delhi government offers free treatment to everyone. And if the Prime Minister requests it, he will send him the names of thousands of people who will benefit from it.
Prime minister,
It is not okay to speak badly about people’s health. It is not right to make politics about this.

‘Did people benefit from the Ayushman Bharat scheme?’
Further, the former Chief Minister asked whether people were benefiting from the Ayushman Bharat scheme. He said the CAG found many irregularities in the Ayushman Bharat scheme. In the states where this plan is applied, to date not a single person has been known to have been treated under this program. Kejriwal said he requests Prime Minister Narendra Modi to study the Delhi model and instead of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, implement the Delhi model across India so that people can benefit on the ground and get help.
What did PM Modi say?
In fact, Prime Minister Modi said that he is saddened that senior citizens of these two states, Delhi and West Bengal, cannot avail the benefit of free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh per year under this scheme. The prime minister said he apologizes to the elders of these states as he will not be able to serve them. The Prime Minister said that I will know about your pain and suffering but I will not be able to help you. Because the governments of Delhi and West Bengal are not implementing this plan due to their political interests.
