A picture has emerged of a terrorist carrying out a major attack on Sunday night in Sonamarg area of Ganderbal district in Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorist can be seen entering the premises with a gun in his hand. His image has been captured on CCTV. Security personnel have shared the image in search of the terrorist. Additionally, information about his other associates is also being collected.
Actually, the terrorists had carried out this attack when the laborers and other employees working on the Z Mod Tunnel Project at Gund, Ganderbal had returned to their camp late in the night. This is the first major attack against construction workers on a major infrastructure project in the valley. This attack took place in an area where the presence of terrorists has been very minor in the last decade. At least seven people, including a doctor from Budgam and five foreigners, were killed in the attack and five others were injured.
Officials said that when laborers and other staff working on a tunnel project in Gund area of the district returned to their camp late in the night, unidentified terrorists attacked them. He said the terrorists fired indiscriminately at the group of workers, which included both locals and outsiders. It is believed that the number of terrorists was at least two.

Eyewitnesses claim that while the employees were eating in the dining room, three terrorists arrived there and started shooting indiscriminately. Before anyone could understand anything, the terrorists fled from there after committing the crime. Two vehicles were also reduced to ashes during the terrorists’ firing.
Immigrant workers are targets again
Once again, terrorists deliberately targeted migrant workers. The construction company employees who died in this attack also belonged to different places. Of which 3 are from Bihar, one from Madhya Pradesh and one from Jammu, and these include a security director and a mechanical director. The deceased doctor was a resident of Budgam in central Kashmir.

Five workers were seriously injured in this attack and were referred to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Srinagar for treatment.
