There has been a slight decline in the number of Jio customers, but there has been a huge increase in the number of 5G customers. Jio now has the largest number of 5G customers in the world after China.

Jio’s profits also increased.

Jio has also made good profits in recent months. Both the company’s revenue and profits have increased. This means that Jio’s business is growing rapidly. Reliance Jio’s net profit in the July-September quarter rose 23.1 per cent to Rs 6,231 crore.

While its revenue increased by 14.5 percent to Rs 28,338 crore. Jio has good internet network coverage, including 5G, in the country. Therefore, more people can use the Internet.

Jio has so many millions of customers

At the end of the September quarter, Jio’s total customer count was 47.88 crore, down from 48.97 million customers in the June quarter. However, the company remains the largest 5G operator outside China with 148 million 5G customers.

Jio said in the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25 that around 148 million customers have migrated to its 5G network, accounting for about 34 per cent of the company’s wireless data traffic. This shows a continuous increase of 31 percent and 28 percent in the previous quarters, demonstrating the pace of adoption of 5G service.
