Mumbai: The Shiv Sena Shinde faction has released the list of 45 candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. This is the first list of the Shinde group. Manisha Waikar, wife of Ravindra Waikar, received the ticket. Arjun Khotkar was given a ticket from Jalna. Sada Sarvankar has been given the ticket against Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray.
When are elections in Maharashtra?
The Election Commission has announced the dates of the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Elections will be held in Maharashtra on November 20 and counting of votes will take place on November 23. Elections will be held in Maharashtra in a single phase.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar had said that there will be 9 crore and 63 lakh voters in Maharashtra. There are 5 million male voters here. Voting will be held in one lakh polling booths here. There will be around 960 voters in each booth in Maharashtra. Polling booths have been increased in Mumbai.
The MNS had recently published the list
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) also recently announced candidates for 45 seats for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Raj Thackeray’s son Amit has also been chosen as a candidate in these elections. Amit Thackeray was named Mahim’s candidate. This was the second MNS list.
Let us tell you that Raj Thackeray had formed Maharashtra Navnirman Sena after parting ways with Shiv Sena. In the 2009 assembly elections, 13 candidates from Raj’s party won the elections and became MLAs. But since then the party’s performance continued to deteriorate. Talking about current affairs, MNS has only one MLA. In such a situation, Raj Thackeray is carefully presenting his candidates in these elections. It remains to be seen how many seats the MNS wins in these elections. Here let us tell you that Raj Thackeray does politics like his late uncle Bala Saheb Thackeray. He himself tries to become a kingmaker without participating in elections. Bala Saheb’s son Uddhav Thackeray and Uddhav’s son Aditya Thackeray are active in politics.
