It was visible in different places. Faced with this situation, the police’s suspicions deepened. The secret of the disappearance was hidden somewhere in the mobile phone itself. The police obtained the CDR, that is, the detailed record of the phone calls, and then a story came to light that surprised even the police themselves. This is the story of a soldier’s bloody love.
August 28, 2024, 8:30 p.m., Besa Chowk – Nagpur
Jyotsna Prakash, 32, came and lived with her roommate in this area. On the night of August 28, he left home saying he was going to meet someone, but he did not return. First her roommate tried to contact her and then her relatives, but the calls on her mobile phone were not answered. It had been. The next day i.e. August 29, Jyotsna’s brother lodged a missing complaint against his sister at the Beltarodi police station in Nagpur.
Investigation of CCCT and CDR footage
After writing the report, the police began searching for him. By extracting CCTV footage, CDR i.e. call detail records and mobile phone data dumps, an attempt was made to find out who Jyotsna had last spoken to and where her last location was. But despite this effort, the police could not find any specific clue about Jyotsna. In this way more than two weeks passed. After 20 days, Jyotsna’s brother once again complained to the police about his sister’s disappearance and expressed suspicion that someone had kidnapped his sister.
Police registered Jyotsna kidnapping case
Until now the police also felt something similar. Because the first thing was that Jyotsna was a grown up, educated and self-sufficient girl, she used to work in a car showroom. And secondly, he was always in contact with his family. In such a situation, his disappearance on his own without even speaking to anyone on the phone for the last twenty days surprised even the police. Therefore, following the brother’s second complaint, the police registered a report of Jyotsna’s abduction and expedited the investigation.
Jyotsna’s mobile location changed again and again
The police were also very surprised that the location of Jyotsna’s mobile phone was visible at different times in different areas outside Nagpur, but the phone was not answered.
Ajay met Jyotsna through matrimonial site
Now the police started collecting information about people who knew Jyotsna and in this connection a name emerged: Ajay Wankhede. Ajay Wankhede was a soldier and was posted in Nagaland. Ajay Wankhede, originally from Nagpur, met Jyotsna at a marriage venue. And the two were in contact ever since. However, Jyotsna’s family members said that the relationship between Ajay and Jyotsna could not be resolved for some reason.
Ajay Wankhede wanted to get married for the third time
In reality, Ajay had been married twice before and was looking for his third wife, while Jyotsna had also been divorced once before. Well, the Nagpur police now wanted to question Ajay Wankhede, but by then they came to know that Ajay Wankhede had been admitted to the Army Hospital in Pune complaining of diabetes.
Ajay had escaped from the hospital.
Since Ajay had come on the police radar, the Nagpur police asked the Army Hospital to keep an eye on Ajay and said that whenever he was discharged from the hospital, he should be handed over to the Nagpur police. But despite all this, Ajay managed to escape by avoiding the hospital staff. And with this the police became convinced that Ajay definitely had some connection with Jyotsna’s disappearance.
Ajay thus surrendered before the police.
Meanwhile, police suspicion deepened when Ajay sought anticipatory bail first in the Sessions Court and then in the High Court to avoid arrest in this case and his bail application was rejected in both courts and Finally he turned himself in to the police. . After this, when the police started questioning her, a story about Jyotsna’s disappearance came to light, leaving everyone shocked.
Ajay Wankhede had murdered Jyotsna
In reality, Jyotsna did not disappear anywhere, but was killed. And the killer was none other than Ajay Wankhede himself, whom Jyotsna had met about two years ago at a matrimonial site. Apart from confessing to the murder, Ajay also said that his body would be buried in a forest. And following their lead, the police recovered Jyotsna’s decomposed body buried in a deserted plot on the outskirts of Nagpur. Ajay had sealed the place where Jyotsna’s body was buried by pouring cement. So that the secret of the corpse is not revealed at any price.
These were the three reasons to doubt Ajay
The police started suspecting Ajay for three reasons and the suspicion turned out to be correct. The first reason was that Ajay was admitted to the hospital on the same days Jyotsna went missing. The second reason was that on the day of his disappearance, that is, August 28, the last location of his mobile phones was in a common place. And the third reason was that apart from Jyotsna, Ajay had many other girlfriends, in such a situation the police became suspicious of his activities.
Ajay had hatched a murder conspiracy similar to the film ‘Drishyam’.
But as strange as the story behind this murder was, the method of murder was equally shocking. Just understand that Ajay Wankhede had planned this murder on the lines of Ajay Devgan’s film Drishyam and Tabu. After two years of relationship, Ajay wanted to get rid of Jyotsna. But Jyotsna was now adamant about marrying him. In such a situation, Ajay stopped talking to her. But when Jyotsna started pressuring him, he got nervous.
Jyotsna’s body was buried after the murder.
On August 28, he made a mobile call to his mother for the first time and invited Jyotsna to meet him at Wardha Road in Nagpur. After this, both stayed overnight in a hotel in Nagpur. He then left the hotel and left the city under the pretext of going for a walk. On the way, near a toll plaza, Ajay gave a cold, intoxicating drink to Jyotsna. Later, at a deserted place, he first strangled Jyotsna to death and then took her body to the forest and buried it. To do this, he not only dug a hole in the forest at midnight, but also completely closed the hole containing the body with the cement he had brought with him. It was something like the movie Drishyam.
Jyotsna’s cell phone was left in the moving truck
But after this, to confuse everyone, he did the work that was in the film Drishyam. After the murder, he threw Jyotsna’s mobile phone into a moving truck and this left the police confused about Jyotsna’s location. The third and surprising conspiracy was to show up admitted to a Pune hospital immediately after the incident, so that no one could suspect that he was involved in the incident. But despite so many efforts, the police finally nabbed him based on his actions, his mobile phone call details, his location and the statement of Jyotsna’s relatives.
