Leader of Opposition in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation and senior Congress leader Ravi Raja has resigned from the party. He shared his resignation letter on social media site X. In it he said that he was associated with Congress for 44 years and served but was not respected. That is why he has now announced his resignation. He wrote on Twitter: “After serving in Congress for 44 years, I am resigning from the party.”
Ravi Raja is said to be angry with the party and due to this anger he also resigned. Actually, Ravi Raja Sayan was demanding a ticket to Koliwada, but the Congress gave a ticket to Ganesh Yadav for this seat. The ticket was given to Varsha Gaikwad’s sister from the same Dharavi seat. This is believed to be the reason for Ravi Raja’s discontent with the party. Because he had demanded a ticket for this seat.

While Ravi Raja accused him of nepotism by giving ticket to the sister of Dharavi’s Varsha Gaikwad, on the other hand he expressed displeasure over the ticket declaration accusing Ganesh Yadav of being a passive activist. Ravi Raja also alleged that the party did not respect his 44 years of loyalty to the Congress and did not give him the ticket as per his demand. It is now speculated that Ravi Raja may soon join the Bharatiya Janata Party.
No respect for 44 years of service.
He wrote in his resignation letter: “As a member of the Youth Congress since 1980, I have served the party with utmost sincerity and dedication and today I have been led to believe that my 44 years of service to the Congress Party have not been respected. It has been done and that is why I decide to resign from all my positions in the party. “You are requested to accept my resignation with immediate effect.”
