Ahead of the Maharashtra elections, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has released the first list of 45 candidates. Eknath Shinde will contest from Kopri Pachpakhadi seat. In fact, talks on seat sharing in the grand alliance for the upcoming assembly elections have almost concluded. Given this, all parties have begun to announce the names of the candidates. According to sources, the BJP can contest the elections from 152 to 155 seats in Mahayuti. The Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena is likely to field its candidates in 70-80 seats and the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party is likely to field its candidates in 52-54 seats.

Eknath Shinde’s party has chosen Sadanand Shankar Saravankar as its candidate from Mahim seat. MNS president Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray is contesting from this seat. The list also includes the names of all those MLAs who left the Uddhav Thackeray faction with Shinde during the rebellion. In addition, this list also includes the names of Shinde group ministers in the government. The party has included veterans from political families and some independents among the new faces.

A glimpse of the family has also been seen in this list. In addition, tickets have also been given to many independent candidates. Among them, tickets were given to Ashish Jaiswal from Ramtek seat, Narendra Bhondekar from Bhandara, Ramesh Bornare from Vaijapur and Gyanraj Chougule from Umarga.

Abhijeet Adsul, son of former MP Anandrao Adsul, got the ticket.
-Ticket for Vikas Bhumre, son of MP Sandipan Bhumre from Paithan seat.
-Ticket for Manisha Vaykar, wife of MP Ravindra Vaykar, from Jogeshwari (East) seat.
-Ticket to Kiran Samant, brother of Minister Uday Samant, from the Rajapur headquarters.
-Suhas Babar, son of late MLA Anil Babar, was given a ticket from Khanapur seat.

BJP is the largest party in the state.

There are 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. There is a coalition government of the BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) and the NCP (Ajit Pawar) in the state. In the 2019 elections, the BJP won the maximum 105 seats. This time too Mahayuti will enter the field in full force and the final round of seat sharing talks will take place. Currently, BJP has 103 MLAs. Shiv Sena (Shinde) has 40 MLAs and NCP (Ajit) has 43 MLAs. In such a situation, the BJP is the largest party in the state.

The elections will be held on November 20

Voting will be held for 288 Maharashtra assembly seats on November 20. The results will be announced on November 23. In the last elections, the BJP won 105 seats, Shiv Sena 56, NCP 54 and Congress 44 seats. However, after the elections, the Shiv Sena broke away from the NDA and formed the government with the NCP-Congress. Uddhav Thackeray of Shiv Sena became the Chief Minister. There was internal discord in Shiv Sena in June 2022. Following this, Eknath Shinde sacked 40 MPs from the party. Eknath Shinde became Chief Minister with the support of the BJP. Now Shiv Sena is divided into two groups. Sharad Pawar’s NCP has also split into two factions: Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar.
