(Mahendragarh News) Mahendragarh. The inaugural ceremony of Sembhu National Championship 2024 held at Vijay International School, Balana, concluded with great pomp and enthusiasm. This nationwide competition had participants from 20 states of India coming from all corners of the country and showcasing their skills in different age and weight categories. All the honorable guests present at the inauguration of the competition appreciated the grandeur of the event and presented inspiring thoughts to the students on the importance of sportsmanship.

Chief Guest Prof. MC Sharma Inspired

Former Vice Chancellor of Delhi University and Director of UNICEF, Professor MC Sharma attended the event as the Chief Guest. In the opening speech he said that sport is not just a competition, but it is a spiritual practice that strengthens us not only physically but also mentally. Pro. Sharma asked the players to approach the game with fairness, discipline and dedication. He highlighted to the students and guests present that sportsmanship and positivity are more important than victory and defeat in sports, which inspires them to face every situation in life.

Other guests of honor at the event were MP Ram Sharma, founder director of Sembhu Federation of India and Mahendra Singh, patron of Vijay International School. Highlighting the growing importance of Sembhu Championship, MP Ram Sharma said that this game is gradually gaining popularity in all states of the country and in the coming times it may also gain recognition at the international level.

The president of the institute, Vijay Yadav Tumna, in his welcome address cordially congratulated all the guests, parents and players. He said that these events are a powerful platform for our students, where they can hone their sporting talent and skills. Vijay Yadav gave the message to all the players to participate in the game without discrimination or prejudice and encouraged them to always strive for excellence.

Great display of sportsmanship during the competition

Competitions were held in different weight categories, in which the participants demonstrated excellent sportsmanship. The event was an epitome of sportsmanship, discipline and competition, where the players participated in their respective games with full energy and dedication.

Haryana players dominance in competition results

Haryana players performed excellently in this national competition. The results of the competition in various categories were as follows:

  1. In the 30kg category, Sagar (Haryana) performed brilliantly and came first, while Isant (Haryana) came second and Riyan (West Bengal) came third.
  2. In the 45 kg category, Teshas (Haryana) showed his skills and bagged the first position. Gitesh (Haryana) got the second place and Ovesh Ali (West Bengal) got the third place.
  3. In the 50kg category, Akshit (Haryana) bagged the first position and Sumit (Haryana) bagged the second position.

Haryana players maintained their dominance in this event but West Bengal players also grabbed everyone’s attention with their excellent performance. At the end of the event, Principal of Vijay International School, Dr. SS While thanking everyone, Yadav expressed his gratitude to his entire team for the success of the event. He said that this program has been successfully completed with the cooperation of all players and parents and more such competitions will be organized in the coming years to encourage students to reach the international level.
