Udhampur: A major accident occurred in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. Here a minibus left the road and fell into a ditch. At least 30 people were injured in this accident. Most of the injured are university nursing students. A passenger vehicle reportedly met with an accident in Farna Magjot area of the district, injuring at least 30 people, including 26 nursing students. This accident occurred after the bus lost control. After receiving the information, a rescue operation was started and all the injured were admitted to hospitals.

Giving information about the incident, officials said the minibus was heading from Salmari to Udhampur. Meanwhile, this accident occurred near the town of Farma around 12:30 p.m. However, as soon as information about the accident was received, relief and rescue efforts were started. According to information received, 30 passengers have been admitted to Government Medical College Hospital, Udhampur for treatment. Authorities said the condition of three of the injured was critical. The seriously injured people are being shifted to Jammu for special treatment.

Udhampur deputy commissioner Saloni Rai visited the hospital to assess the situation. After inspecting the hospital and speaking to the injured, he said: “According to initial information, the minibus carrying between 30 and 35 people fell into the ditch after a brake failure,” said deputy commissioner Saloni Rai. Investigations will be launched to find out the cause of the accident.
12 people died in Rajasthan
A major accident also took place in Sikar, Rajasthan on Tuesday. Here the bus coming from Salasar crashed into a sewer. 12 people died in this accident. This accident occurred near Laxmangarh. More than three dozen people have been injured. The condition of many passengers is critical. The injured are being shifted to Laxmangarh Hospital. Laxmangarh police have reached the spot.
