During the meeting, both leaders agreed that on the border issue between India and China, the Special Representative will supervise the management of peace and harmony in the border areas. We will also meet soon to find a fair, reasonable and mutually acceptable solution to this issue. The two leaders emphasized that as two neighbors and the world’s two largest nations, stable, predictable and cordial bilateral relations between India and China will have a positive impact on regional global peace and prosperity. It will also contribute to multipolar Asia and the multipolar world.

During the delegation-level talks, Chinese President Jinping said the two countries need to communicate more and cooperate to properly handle differences. Jinping said it is important for both sides to have more dialogue and cooperation, properly handle their differences and disagreements, and help each other promote each other’s development aspirations. It is also important for both sides to fulfill their international responsibilities, set an example to promote the strength and unity of developing countries, and contribute to multipolarization and the promotion of democracy in international relations.
