Google has added many new features to its messaging app. These new features will help filter unwanted calls and messages that arrive on your phone. While rolling out these features, Google warned that any type of fake message can be identified in real time. Google has supported Gemini AI for this. This feature will identify messages coming from international numbers. If suspicious messages and calls are sent, they will be blocked.

Spam protection

Google has added a spam protection feature to the messaging app, which will place messages coming from any unknown number on the spam list. This Google feature uses on-device machine learning to identify conversations. Google states that these text messages will remain private unless they are reported as spam.

Dangerous links will be blocked

Along with Google’s spam protection feature, a feature to block fake and dangerous links has also been added. This feature has been rolled out in India, as well as Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. If any message from an unknown number contains a link, you will be notified and then blocked.

questionable content

Apart from this, Google will also issue warnings about suspicious content in messages. Any suspicious content will be blurred so that it is not visible to users. This is a feature based on end-to-end encryption, which will blur content using machine learning on the device.

contact verification

The contact verification feature has also been launched in Google Messages. This feature will check the message before sending it. This feature will work on Android 9 or higher operating system.

international call protection

Google has implemented this feature to automatically hide international calls. However, it has just been launched for Singapore users as a pilot project.
