Dhanteras 2024 Shubh Muhurat and Puja Vidhi: The Diwali festival lasts for 5 days, starting on Dhanteras and ending on Bhai Dooj. Before Diwali, the festival of Dhanteras is celebrated to please Goddess Lakshmi. According to the Vedic calendar, this festival is celebrated every year on the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha of the Kartik month. This year Dhanteras will be celebrated on October 29, 2024. We tell you that on this day people buy gold, silver, utensils, etc. according to your capacity. Because sleeping and buying any utensil on this day is considered very auspicious. Also, on this day Lord Dhanvantari, the physician of the gods, was born, so this day is also known as Dhanvantari Jayanti.

Auspicious time for shopping on Dhanteras
According to the Vedic calendar, Tripushkar Yoga is formed on the day of Dhanteras, shopping on this Yoga is considered very auspicious. This yoga will start at 6:32 am and continue until 10:30 am the next day. Purchases made in this yoga increase wealth three times. Abhijeet Muhurta is also formed on the day of Dhanteras and shopping during this time brings happiness and prosperity. This favorable time will be on October 29 from 11:42 a.m. to 12:27 p.m., during which you can make purchases.
Dhantera Puja Method
- On the day of Dhanteras, after cleaning in the morning, take bath before sunrise and wear clean or new clothes.
- Make Rangoli at the main entrance. Clean up your workplace and shop too. Wear garland. Make footprints of Goddess Lakshmi.
- Krishna Tulsi, cow’s milk and butter made from it should be offered to Lord Dhanvantari. If you have purchased brass items, definitely give them away. Recite Dhanvantari Stotra.
- Worship the God of wealth Kuber and Mother Lakshmi with the Shodopachar method. Offer kumkum, turmeric, rice and bhog. Worship the gods in the north direction.
- Buy at favorable times. Whatever you buy, first offer it to Goddess Lakshmi during the Dhanteras puja and then use it.
- At night, make a four-sided lamp out of flour. Put mustard or sesame oil on it and keep it outside the house in the south direction or on the doorstep.
