Ambala News: Ambala. The Football and Basketball Games Competition was organized on the occasion of Founder’s Day of Diwan Raghunath Sahay Memorial League at SD Vidya School, Ambala Cantonment. In which a basketball and football match was organized to give the students of class 1 an opportunity to explore their potential in sports and promote team spirit and improve physical health. The students of class I participated in this competition. On this occasion, School Principal Principal Neelendrajit Kaur Sandhu and Primary Wing Principal Toddler Wing Coordinator Anuroop Johal were especially present to cheer the players. The students of class 1 were present as spectators. The match was auspiciously initiated by the principal principal of the school. He shook hands with all the students from both parties and encouraged them.

Team Ajmer won in basketball, team Shabbir Ali won in men’s football team and Manisha Kalyan won in women’s team. The awards ceremony took place after both matches. The winners were encouraged by Principal Conductor Neelindrajit Kaur Sandhu by awarding the gold medal to the first place team and the silver medal to the second place team. The director of the Board of Directors said that sports are very important for the physical and mental development of all students. He congratulated the sports department and the 1st grade teachers for this event. School President BK Soni wished both the teams well and encouraged them to give their best while enjoying the spirit of the game.
