TTP attacks have increased in Pakistan in recent months.
Islamabad: At least eight people were killed in a suicide attack on a police post in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday. According to information provided by sources, many people have also been injured in the attack. This blast is said to have taken place at Aslam check post in Mir Ali tehsil of North Waziristan tribal district bordering Afghanistan. Sources said the attackers riding three-wheelers attacked the check post and security forces vehicles, killing at least 8 people.
“The number of victims may increase”
According to sources, among the dead are 4 police officers, 2 soldiers and 2 civilians. Sources said several other people were injured in the blast and admitted to Miran Shah Hospital. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi condemned the attack and said action against terrorist organizations would continue until they are completely eliminated from the region.

Let us tell you that just a few hours ago, terrorists on Thursday attacked a check post in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in which 10 security personnel were killed and 3 others injured. A police official said the security personnel were killed in an encounter following Thursday's attack at a checkpoint in Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan district. According to the officer, a contingent of soldiers arrived at the scene immediately after the attack and an operation was launched to arrest the attackers. Another officer said 10 soldiers were killed in the attack.
Tehreek-e-Taliban is active in the area
