(Panipat News) Panipat. Chief Minister’s Special Officer Pankaj Nain on Wednesday held a meeting of officials at the District Secretariat regarding the preparations for the marathon to be held in Panipat on the 27th. He sought suggestions from the officials to make this event a success. DC Dr. Virendra Kumar Dahiya said that so far more than 35 thousand runners have registered. Pankaj Nain said that e-certificates will also be provided to the participants, which runners can download by giving OTP.
MD Singer and Olympic medalist Aman Sehrawat has been invited. All the routes that the runners will pass through will be beautifully decorated. Water campers will remain and temporary bathrooms will be built. Energy drinks and fruits have been prepared for the runners. He said that in the next two days they will organize a small event in their respective areas where a glimpse of the marathon can be seen. Involve children from villages, schools and nurseries in this and make them practice.
The runners will run 5,10,21 kilometers
DC Dr Virendra Dahiya said that a second post will be set up at a distance of one kilometre. This marathon will have three categories. In this, runners will run for 21 kilometers, 10 kilometers and 5 kilometers. There will be a time interval between the three categories. DC said that to make this event a success, cooperation of Gram Panchayats, educational institutions, bar associations, employee associations, traders, bullion market, all government and non-government universities and the AYUSH department will be required. The students of Madhuban Police Department will also be part of the marathon.
A kit that includes a t-shirt will be delivered.
DC said runners from other districts will also be able to showcase their talent at this event. Runners participating in the marathon will be provided with good quality t-shirts and shorts. Separate stalls will be set up two days before in Sector-13-17. The department will provide sports kits only to those runners. Runners who will register for the marathon. DC said that during the marathon, Chief Minister Nayab Singh will stop at stalls set up by various organisations. The coaches will decide if the runners will be winners. This decision will be valid depending on the moment. Medals will also be awarded to those runners who come closest to victory. On this occasion, Corporation Commissioner Jayendra Singh, ADC Dr. Pankaj, Samalkha SDM Amit Kumar, Israna SDM Jyoti Mittal, CTM Tinu Poswal, CMO Dr. Jayant Ahuja were present.
