He said the central government did not remove the above goods from warehouses in Punjab.
Pathankot News (Aaj Samaj), Pathankot: Punjab Cabinet Minister Lalchand Kattaruchak said the central government has already been toying with Punjab. He said that despite repeated appeals from the state government, the central government did not listen and did not vacate the warehouses in the state on time. This statement was made by Punjab Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kattaruchak after visiting Narot Jaimal Singh’s Dana Mandi.
He further said that we send the crops of Punjab farmers to the central fund. The warehouses that are full in Punjab belong to the Centre, and for the last 6 months the Center has been asked to remove its goods from the warehouses so that we can store the new products. He said farmers will not be allowed to face any kind of problem in the markets.

CM himself is supervising rice procurement
Excellent arrangements have been made for the purchase of rice throughout Punjab. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is also taking stock of the latest situation of the mandis by holding daily review meetings and this year the rice yield in Punjab has been very good and the production has also been quite high. On this occasion, Lal Chand Kataruchak said that Punjab is targeting 185 lakh MT in the central fund and we have made arrangements for 190 lakh MT.
He said that currently more than 26 lakh metric tonnes of rice have reached the markets of Punjab and 24 lakh metric tonnes of rice have also been purchased. Apart from this, lifting of procured rice is also progressing at a rapid pace and around 6 lakh MT have been lifted. He said that an amount of more than Rs 4,000 crore has been deposited in the farmers’ accounts so far.
