Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma had announced in June this year that 50 per cent reservation would be given to women in tier 1 recruitment of third grade teachers, i.e. primary school teachers, but the Department Legal has put a stop to this decision of its own government. The government had issued a notification on June 14 and given orders in this regard, but now the Law Department has put a stop to the Education Department's 50 per cent reservation proposal.
The Legal Department returned the file to the Department of Education for the second time in a month over three major objections. The Secretariat has sought information on the facts of these objections from the Director of Primary Education, Bikaner, so that the proposal can be approved by the Legal Department. However, this process may take some time while the Rajasthan government has announced that it will conduct the eligibility test for recruitment of teachers i.e. REET-2025 early in the new year i.e. in January .
On the other hand, the Education Department wants to complete level 1 recruitment of third-grade teachers as soon as possible and wants to increase the reservation limit for women to 50 per cent. That is why the Department of Primary Education has instructed the Director of Primary Education to provide clarifications and facts on the objections of the Legal Department, so that the proposal can be approved.
The Department of Education has also stepped up its efforts to complete it as soon as possible. The Department of Education sent a second revised proposal on October 7, which was returned by the Legal Department on October 17.
The Law Department said that there is a provision of reservation for castes, tribals and other backward classes in the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, while at present the provision of reservation in jobs is applicable to people belonging to backward classes and extremely backward classes. . It is not clear how to offer the benefits of reservation to people with disabilities.
